Description
White feathers are an unusual phenomenon of the wild chickens. Every year there are several solid white roosters which are a contrast to the descendants of the original Red Jungle Fowl.The white roosters have all the wild traits and roost with the other wild chickens in trees with wild birds. They are very vulnerable to predators.The other wild chicks have dark feathers that camouflage them,unlike the white roosters who are a light yellow when hatched. Very few white roosters survive into adulthood.
