The young chicks find warmth and safety beneath the wild hen's wings. This image was taken very quickly before the hen sensed a threat to her chicks. It was a rainy day and maybe the first experience that the chicks had with rain.They found a place to perch off the wet ground and all scurried under the hen. The curious ones stuck their heads out to see the puddles of water surrounding them.
