St. Simons Island Pier is an unforgettable experience. The pelicans, seagulls and other wild birds gather closely to the pier during the day to capture bait or anything they might steal from the fisherman's buckets. The view across the ocean to the other island is breathtaking. You can see, at the end of the pier, there are wide open ocean views. It is typical to see fisherman carrying bait buckets for a day of fishing off the pier. Sea gulls fly overhead perching on the roof of the pier as though they are ready to be photographed by tourists. Frameable prints, canvases and 5 x 7 greeting cards are available among other items. A great collectible for tourists or anyone who has visited the island. Jan Gelders Photography. All Rights Reserved.
